This 1998 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 Shocked the World Again in December 2017 when the Price increased to $1,000,000,000.00 and in the process Chalked Up a ONE BILLION DOLLAR CARGRAPH.COM.

VIRAL MITSUBISHI 3000GT VR-4

Vin number JA3AN74K4WY000845 is an Incredibly Rare car from the 1990's Japanese Halo Car days, its Class of Vehicles were the likes of the Toyota Supra Turbo, the Mazda RX-7 Turbo, the Acura NSX, the Nissan Skyline GTR R33, the Nissan 300ZX Turbo and the Dodge Stealth R/T TT (cousin to the 3000GT).

DSM HERITAGE, the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is known as the Mitsubishi GTO-MR in Japan and the rest of the world. DSM stands for Diamond Star Motors a Partnership between Mitsubishi and Chrysler in which Chrysler supplied Financing to Mitsubishi and Mitsubishi Researched, Developed and Produced the "Cousin" Automobiles Mitsubishi 3000GT and the Dodge STEALTH in NAGOYA, JAPANDiamond Star Motors Includes the Production of the Mitsubishi Starion and Chrysler Conquest, the Plymouth Laster, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Eagle Talon, 3000GT and Dodge Stealth.

Other than the Acura NSX, the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 was the most Expensive Japanese Halo Car of the 1990's with an MSRP over $45,669. The Toyota Supra Turbo MSRP was $40,500 and the Mazda RX-7 MSRP was $38,000 making the RX-7 the Cheapest of the Class to purchase new. In 1998 and 1999 Mitsubishi Dealerships Marked Up the Vehicle Charging up to $50,000 to obtain a Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4. Even without the Dealer Added Mark Up, The Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4s $45,669 Base MSRP was more expensive than a 1998 Chevrolet Corvette and the Mitsubishi would Prove to be a Winning Lottery Ticket.

The 1998 Mitsubishi was one of the Rarest cars produced within it's Class. The 1998 Model Year has an Estimated Production run of 220-231 Total VINS. Unlike it's last year 1999 VR-4 Counter part, that produced 287 Total VINS, the 1998 VR-4 does NOT have a wikipedia page or a VIN Registry. Without the additional VIN Registry and Wikipedia Page and not being the "last year" at the time, translated into further abuse an neglect of the 1998.  In 2018 20 years later, the 220-231 Total Production number is an Estimated 20 Total VINS in Existence (in all varying conditions), where as the 1999 VR-4 still has 200-220 VINS of the 287 meaning the 1999 VR-4 has a Strong Survivor Rate. This means that enthusiasts still have a Slim chance to acquire a 1999 VR-4.  Due to the 1998 VR-4s Low Production Rate and Poor Survivor Rate, the 1998 VR-4 is AT LEAST 10X RARER than the 1999 VR-4 with 1998 VR-4s only 20 Estimated VINS in Existence and is only getting Rarer.

It's performance Statistics rate the 3.0L DOHC V-6 at a Strong 320HP which turns out a 0-60MPH in 4.5 seconds and a quatermile of 12.9 seconds @ 104MPH. That is Serious Speed for "1994" Technology. And BTW the 1998 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 was Faster than the Nissan Skyline GTR R33 and Nissan Skyline GTR R34 in a straight line stock for stock. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9_8A6_X3gk

So is this Billion Dollar Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 for Sale? Yes and No. We have communication with the Owner, it would require at least $1,000,000,000.00 in cash in person to negotiate the sale, and even then, the Owner will not willingly part ways with it... And will probably turn down the Billion. Can you blame them ?
